I totally heart NY.
Good Evening my Children. Your Den Mother has seen Alan Rickman live. And it was Good. One of many, many, many benefits of living a ~1hr train ride from NYC is that I get to see Broadway plays on a semi-regular basis. It would be more regular if I had more money. I was in the nose bleed section tonight (thankfully of a small theater so it wasn't TOO far away from the stage) and the tickets cost $82.50. Each. What play you ask? It was called Seminar. It was about 4 aspiring actors who took a titular seminar with a writer played by the wonderful Alan Rickman. Mr. "Sliders" Jerry Connell was also in said play. It ran only 1 hr 40 min but Oh. My. God. I now know what its liked to be fucked aurally. That's AURALLY not ORALLY, you perverts. Now mind you, I have known for many years that Rickman's voice is pure sex. But it doesn't COMPARE to a live performance. Anyway, the dialogue and monologues were outstanding. And I have now heard Mr. Rickman use "She sucked my balls so hard, I saw stars" in a sentence. For any who live in the tri-state area see. this. play. Anyway, I was tempted to wait around after the play so I could get the chance to thank Alan Rickman for fucking me in the ear for an hour and half. But we had dinner reservations at a restaurant where I learned a couscous dish could be so fucking good that it qualifies as a religious experience. So all in all, a great day in the City.
